- Fast. The RocketPort Universal PCI card is powered by Comtrol's exclusive RocketPort chip, integrating a dedicated 36MHz processor that enables the card to transmit and receive data four times faster than standard UART technology—up to 460 Kbps full duplex across all ports simultaneously.
- Reliable. The RocketPort chip extremely low failure rate makes our multi-port serial card one of the most reliable on the market.
- Efficient. RocketPort uses transmit FIFOs 16 times larger, and receive FIFOs 64 times larger, than multiport cards designed with 16550 UARTs (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitters). This helps eliminate bottlenecks at the serial controller level while conserving CPU resources.
